Kay Bills, President & Founder,
Strategic Native American Partnerships (SNAP)
Kay Bills, Osage, has a unique background in entrepreneurship on a national and international arena. She has served as a teacher, mentor, and practitioner of entrepreneurial businesses and was an expert appointment with the US Department of Commerce. She was appointed to implement the Native American Business Development, Tourism, and Trade Promotion Act of 2000. She left government service in October 2009 to return to her Oklahoma roots.
Kay Bills owned a successful 8(a) business in Alaska from 1992 until graduating from the program. She was the executive director of the Alaska 8(a) Association for three years before moving to Washington, DC as an adjunct professor at Howard University teaching entrepreneurship classes to graduating seniors.
Kay Bills established SNAP as a “think tank” to mentor tribes in international business and assist international companies who are interested in building business relationship with Tribal Nations. SNAP is an open forum and encourages collaboration of Indian and Non-Indian individuals and businesses. She spent a number of years in Alaska working with Alaska Native Corporations, as well as, the many Tribal Nations.
Kay Bills is a graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Oregon College. Kay Bills lives in Oklahoma City with her husband Ken Bills.
